DIY "Dry Shampoo"

Let's straighten our hair and then go as long as we can between washes, who's with me!?  If your'e not, you may as well stop reading now because dry shampoo is probably not up your ally.  If you're still here then rest assured you're not alone.  Know that greasy locks between washes doesn't have to be a thing; if you already use dry shampoo, you know this is the case.  But let's take it one step further: you're already saving hot water with that shower cap, right?  How about saving money too!  This is my favorite DIY dry shampoo recipe, and it might just become yours as well.

All the ingredients you need for dry shampoo are already in your kitchen.

1/4 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons baking soda
2 tablespoons flour (optional)
5 drops essential oil (my favorites are tea tree oil, lavender, and/or chamomile)

Combine ingredients and store in your bathroom.  All done!  All I do is graciously coat my fingers and rub onto my roots, then brush it out; use it like you would a regular dry shampoo.  I have dark hair and white residue is not an issue for me, but (fun fact!) if you do find it to be an issue you can add cocoa powder to your mix.
